Oops, I lost my password!
No problem – Follow the instructions right here.
You’ll be set in a minute!
How do I submit my podcast to the iTunes podcast directory?
First of all, share your podcast and choose »copy RSS-feed address« in the share view. (In case you’ve already shared your episode, go to settings by tapping the icon in the down-right inside Opinion – you’ll then find the button to copy your RSS-feed address there).
Open Apple Podcasts Connect. You’ll then be asked to sign in with your AppleID, from there, tap the + symbol och submit your Opinion RSS-feed into the iTunes directory.
How do I sign up for an account?
Tap the big share-button in the upper right on the main screen. Then tap the big green button to share your first episode. You’ll then be asked to sign up for an account. Follow the instructions and you’ll be set in less than a minute.
Is there a way to host more than one podcast?
Sure! You can sign up for as many accounts as you want. Just sign up for a new podcast, then log out (in the settings menu) and – create a new podcast. Boom, there you have it!
Can I work on many episodes simultaneously?
There’s only one timeline in Opinion, so you’ll only be able to work on one episode inside the app. This is a decision we made in order to simplify the workflow as much as possible.
However, by using an third party storage option (such as Dropbox, or iCloud) you’ll be able to export your work-in-progress episode. Once you want to resume your work on that particular episode, just import it back into the app again.
Export: Just tap the sharing button, then »Share as File«, choose Dropbox or any other storage option of choice.
Import: Tap the import button (big button in the middle) and then tap »Locations« if you prefer another service than iCloud. Please note that you have to be signed in with your iCloud account in order to access this button. It’s stupid, but it’s because of Apple’s restrictions, we’re sorry about that.
Good luck!
I’d like to buy a bunch of licenses through Apple’s Volume Purchase Program, is that possible?
Absolutely yes! Opinion Enterprise is available in the App Store for VPP purchases. Opinion Enterprise has exactly the same feature set as Opinion. This version is made solely for Volume Purchase Program buyers, since VPP isn’t compatible with the In-App-Purchase model used in Opinion.
How do I delete a published episode?
Follow the steps below. Please note that this action won’t affect your current recording and timeline in the app.

I’ve bought Opinion before, how do I restore my previous purchase on my new phone?
Tap the purchase button (big green/white) and then tap the Restore button. Make sure you’re logged in with the same AppleID as before.
I want to record a phone call, but… how?!
Unfortunately, iOS itself doesn’t support calls recording. And it doesn’t allow other apps (like Skype) to record calls either – but, in order to record high quality calls, we’d warmly recommend Audio Hijack for Mac. There’s also a bunch of call recording apps for PC, check out this list.
How do I sign in?
Just tap settings (the icon in the down left) and then “sign in”.
How do I sign up?
Tap the share button in the upper right, then “Start a new podcast”.
Can I send audio from Voice Memos to Opinion?
Yes, just export the audio from Voice Memos to Dropbox (you have to sign up for a free account and download their app for that to work), then launch Opinion and tap the Import button (big one in the middle on the main screen). Now choose »Other apps…« in the popup menu.
That way you’ll be asked if you want to import from iCloud. To change to Dropbox, tap »Locations« in the upper left. Now find your file and choose it!
How do I change the details in my RSS-feed?
Copy your RSS-feed from Opinion, sign up to Feedburner.com and enter your feed address right there. Feedburner will let you customise all fields in your RSS, for changing the category, language, etc.
How do I change my podcast/RSS address?
It’s possible to change the name of your podcast (just tap the settings icon in the main view and then navigate to the name of your show), but it’s not possible to change the RSS-feed url or podcast address. If you want a new url, simply sign up for a new account. You can do that by signing out (once again, tap the settings icon and then log out), and then you’ll be asked for a new username once you publish an episode again.
How many subscribers does my show have?
Opinion comes with a free analytics tool which will let you know how many times your episodes have been played. In order to get your subscribers counted as well (and other more advanced stats) – you’ll need to sign up for a free account on Feedburner, and send your RSS-feed through them.
Copy your RSS-feed from Opinion, sign up to Feedburner.com and enter your feed address right there. Feedburner will then keep track of all people who are subscribed using your new feedburner podcast address.
How do I import audio from Dropbox or iCloud?
Tap the import button, then choose »Other apps…« in the popup menu.
That way you’ll be asked if you want to import from iCloud. If you’d like to import from Dropbox (or another service) instead – just tap »Locations« in the upper left. Then choose your preferred service.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to have an iCloud account set up in order to access other services through the »Locations« menu. This is due to a design decision by Apple – and there’s sadly no way for us change this to the better at the moment.
Does Opinion support audio fades?
Not at the moment, but feel free to use a third party editor to do the extra tweaks and edits if you want to. Hokusai or Twisted Wave might be worth checking out for iOS, and Audacity is a free option for Mac & PC.

We don’t offer any embeds as of today, but hopefullý soon.
However, you’re always free to share your show to Soundcloud from Opinion. Soundcloud offers a nice embeddable player.

No, as soon as you’ve unlocked free recording, you’ll be able to record as long as your iOS device can make it (usually limited by free disk space).
What does the in app purchase »unlimited recording« mean?
It means that you’ll be free to record and publish how many podcasts you want. You’re free to create multiple shows, and you’re free to make your episodes without any time limit. So basically you’re free to do whatever you want, within the boundaries of law and good behaviour 8)
Is there an Android version of Opinion?
Unfortunately not, we’re a small team and we’ve decided to focus entirely on making the best possible experience for iOS users. However, we’re encouraging others to fill in the gap on the Android platform.
